In 2013, Laura enrolled in a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training at Halifax Yoga where she had practiced hot yoga, prenatal and mom and baby yoga after the birth of her son, Easton. Becoming part of an amazing yoga community was, and still is very important to her. Inspired by the support and growth offered at the studio, she began to teach all levels and styles of classes once becoming certified in Spring 2014 as an RYT 200. Teaching yoga at Halifax Yoga, in corporate environments, schools, volunteering in the community, sports teams and even in correctional facility's around the province. She quickly realized how important this work was, and what her new career path would be, teaching yoga!
She immediately (and currently is) enrolled in the next 300hours of training offered at Halifax Yoga to become a 500hr Advanced Yoga Teacher. She has received many certifications throughout training, including Prenatal/Postpartum, Yoga for kids and teens, Restorative Yoga, also has completed the art of assisting workshop and taken master classes and received feedback and mentoring with some of the best yoga instructors on the east coast!
Most recently, attended the Toronto Yoga Conference studying advanced restorative, yin, yoga for anxiety and anatomy courses.
Her classes are soulful, light, energetic and most importantly are open to ALL levels.
She is looking forward to creating and being part of the blossoming yoga community in Cape Breton!
