Vinyasa Flow
Experience feelings of exhilaration and harmony that accompany flowing sequences of energizing postures linked together by smooth rhythmic breaths. This creative class strengthens the body and draws the mind into a state of clarity and inner calm. After a class, people report feeling totally relaxed and peaceful having had a great whole body workout.

Hot Flow
This vinyasa style class is comprised of a series of invigorating postures done in a heated room. The heat allows tight muscles to stretch and release more readily than in cooler environments. Many practitioners report experiencing faster and more dramatic results in their flexibility after attending Hot Flow (for this reason we also ask that you be mindful of not overstretching). Weight loss and detoxification is one of the rewards of regular yoga so it is essential that plenty of water is consumed. This class is not recommended for people who have been diagnosed with heart disease or high blood pressure or who are celebrating menopause or pregnancy.

Ashtanga Influenced
Ashtanga yoga is based on the teachings of Sri K. Pattabhi Jois. This aerobic style of yoga focuses on the primary principles of combining intentional breathing with fluid movements from pose to pose while engaging bandhas (muscular locks) which serve to contain our powerful life force. Students will become familiar with sun salutations, the traditional standing sequence and a variety of seated postures within the primary series. For those with extreme muscular tension or injury concerns, modifications will be offered.

Core Yoga
Did you know that approximately 80% of low back pain stems from weak core muscles? This class focuses entirely on stabilizing our deep core muscles so that we are better able to sustain proper posture throughout the day and alleviate low back issues. Additionally, abdominal organs are massaged and agni (internal heat) is ignited through core work. This stimulates the natural cleansing abilities of the body, helping to eliminate pollutants that deplete our systems and cloud our joy. Improve the strength of your core, and the core of who you are will emerge!

“The birth of my second son was an amazing experience and I owe a lot of it to Breathing Space. I was able to give birth to my big baby boy naturally. I listened to my body and met each contraction with a deep, controlled breath. I was totally ‘present’ for the birth of my son.” -
